Method 2: Normalization

Normalization is a heat treatment method that heats the hot pressed elbow above the critical temperature, transforms all the hot pressed elbows into uniform austenite, and then naturally cools them in air.

. Normalization can eliminate the mesh like carbides in eutectoid hot pressed elbows. For hypoeutectoid hot pressed elbows, normalization can refine the lattice and improve comprehensive mechanical properties. It is more economical to use normalization instead of quenching process for elbows with low requirements
